Professor Thamrin talked mostly about the alkaloids in Kratom, but many people are linking his statement to the presence of anti-virus compound Chloroquine. While there is scientific research to back the concept of stronger immunity to avoid the virus, there is no truth in Mitragyna Speciosa containing Chloroquine. Professor Thamrin said that Chloroquinine helps fight Coronavirus, but he did not say it is present in Kratom. The professor only mentioned that some components of Kratom may have amines similar to this chemical compound.
